How We Give Back
Manderson Cancer Center gives back in many ways to help our patients.
Help and Hope
This fund provides financial aid to current Manderson Cancer Center patients struggling to make ends meet while undergoing treatment. This includes patient assistance with medications, household bills, and transportation to and from treatment, plus funding equipment & technology upgrades.
Paxman Project
Paxman Scalp Cooling Cap Therapy will be available to Manderson Cancer Center patients at no cost in this program. This innovative therapy can help reduce hair loss for patients receiving certain chemotherapy treatments by cooling the scalp before, during and after treatment.
Breast Cancer Screenings
This fund, created in 2004, helps uninsured women in the West Alabama community with mammograms, additional testing if needed, and personal items (wigs, prostheses, etc.) if they are diagnosed with cancer.

The DCH Foundation continues to work closely with the DCH Health System to address health care challenges through our Joint Board Task Force, comprised of leaders from The DCH Foundation and the Health System boards.
